New year, new tunes.

Well, this was actually released in December 2011, but let’s not split hairs, okay? This EP is a lot like some of my earlier stuff from 2000-2002. The songs are more simple grooves and riffs, with less complex production than some of my other stuff (like Gurgles, which was also released in 5.1 way back in 2006). This is the kind of stuff that I’ll make over the course of a couple of weeks, instead of toiling away for months. Consider it a snapshot of what I felt like doing in September/October 2011.

What’s The Score?

Over the last year, in addition to working on the normal Iguassu stuff, I also wrote a few indie movie scores. Since this music was so different from my usual projects, I decided to use, “M.R. Mitchell”, as the artist name for this stuff. Honestly, I thought one of the directors did a very poor job editing the cues which I provided him, so I will refrain from mentioning the title of that movie. However, I managed to keep ownership of my work on that score. So, I’ve compiled a few of the minimal, piano based cues from that movie, and turned them into this little 20 minute release.
