After having several tracks find their way onto labels such as Om, INFRACom, Shadow, and Cosmic Flux, Iguassu Music Recordings was created in 2002 by Mike Mitchell. Heavily influenced by downtempo, nujazz and Brazilian music, the name, “Iguassu”, comes from the waterfall on the borders of Argentina and Brazil. In addition to playing keyboards at the occasional live show, Mitchell can be found DJing at various venues which specialize in jazzy, international music.
